FAQs

How can I apply for a job at Kontron?

Send your application documents to karriere@kontron-services.at, preferably as a PDF.

Which documents should I use to apply?

We would like you to write to us saying why you would like to work here. You should also send a detailed (but clear) curriculum vitae, relevant documents such as proof of education achievements and professional certificates (school reports, job references, etc.) as well as information on salary expectations and your earliest possible starting date.

How long will it take to process my application and how does the selection procedure work?

The Human Resources department examines each application as soon as possible and decides together with the relevant department whether the respective candidate will be invited for an interview. We try to inform applicants as soon as possible if they are eligible for an interview or will be invited for a second round.

What happens at job interviews?

You should allow about an hour for the interview. We conduct job interviews as an open dialogue. During our chat we would like to learn more about you as a person, your career to date and also your knowledge and skills. At the same time you also have the opportunity to find out more about Kontron as a potential employer.

Current information about the first interview:

Due to the current situation and to protect everyone, the first interview will take place virtually (via Microsoft Teams).

Will my application be treated confidentially?

Kontron attaches great importance to confidentiality and data protection. As a result the data and documents you send us will be treated as strictly confidential. We will not contact anyone outside the Kontron Group without your consent. Even within the Group, your application will only be forwarded for the purpose of looking at alternative employment opportunities.

Who can I contact if I have any further questions?

Kontron's HR department would be happy to answer all your questions about job offers and application and selection procedures. Please get in touch with: Claudia Lenz, Head of Human Resources, karriere@kontron-services.at

Does Kontron have a dress code? How do I dress for a job interview?

There is no prescribed dress code at Kontron - integrity and commitment are what count. Most colleagues are dressed casually. However, if you have contact with customers you should be dressed appropriate to the job and especially to your counterpart on the customer's side. Depending on the job you are applying for, you should dress for the interview in a way you feel comfortable and would like to present yourself - a suit is not obligatory.

I cannot find a suitable job on the website. Should I still apply?

We are always looking for new talent and post new jobs regularly on our website and on social media. Just follow us there or check our website from time to time. Alternatively, we would of course also be pleased to receive a speculative application via email.
